Get Involved

Friends of Baxter State Park is an independent, membership-based non-profit that supports Baxter Park in many ways. Friends advocates for the Park’s wilderness values and serves as a conduit for people wanting to volunteer in the Park. It sponsors two annual programs for youth, the Maine Youth Wilderness Leadership Program for Maine high school students, and the Baxter Youth Conservation Corps for teens from the Katahdin region. Friends also provides direct financial support to the Park.
